Objectives:

Design, code, and unit test components within a J2EE architecture to support applications for the financial services markets

Requirements of the role

  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Organized and thorough with a strong team working attitude

  • 5+ years experience in Object Oriented Analysis and Design
  • 5+ years with J2EE Application Design, Coding, and Implementation
  • 5+ years experience with Web Application technologies such as HTML, Javascript, HTML, CSS, XML, Servlets/JSP, AJAX, JSON, Dojo, Struts
  • 5+ years experience with SQL Queries (T-SQL or Oracle PL/SQL is an asset)
  • 5+ years experience with Java development and deploy tools such as Eclipse and Maven
  • Experience in J2EE and SOA Technologies and Frameworks such as Web Services, JDBC, Hibernate, JMS, Spring Framework
  • As an asset, experience with Microsoft Windows and UNIX (Linux, Solaris, AIX)
  • Willingness to learn new technologies in a constantly evolving environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-pace environment with tight deadlines
  • Experience with lease/loan origination and credit decision systems preferred but not required

Description of the role

  • Develop high quality software components within a J2EE development environment
  • Work with Business Analysts and Technical Leads on design aspects to meet technical and business requirements
  • Contribute to the definition, maintenance and adherence to development guidelines/standards and processes
  • Support and develop application developers through mentoring and coaching
  • Assist with the deployment and administration of the Technical Infrastructure (servers and services, both J2EE and Database)
