The Technical Lead role is a senior role within WCG and is relied upon to provide client facing technical implementation and design decisions and to represent the CALMS product suite from a technical perspective.

Requirements of the role

  • Highly Experienced in client facing and communication skills

  • Experience of technologies to a high standard, inclusive of the following technologies;
    • ‘N’ Tier Java applications
    • RDBMS (Oracle, SQL Server)
    • JEE Application servers Java 1.7 +
    • Maven

    • Hibernate
    • TDD
    • Web Based applications & JavaScript

Description of the role

  • Provide application architecture expertise to support and drive client requirements in the area of performance, reliability, security requirements and IT landscape architecture
  • Present client requirements and project designs to product management and product development teams
  • Ensure technical implementation and architectural guidelines are defined and followed
  • Create and contribute in solution designs
  • Provide guidance and feedback to application development teams
  • Participate in client facing presentations, workshops and meetings
  • Support technical implementation and technical design on client projects
  • Contribute to and manage client workshops for system integration and architecture design
  • Manage the environment technicians and delivery of new releases to the client.
  • Work closely with project architects to ensure project and product requirements are communicated effectively to the client facing team.
  • Weekly travel to Stuttgart, Germany is required for this role
