Objectives:

Manage and lead project teams primarily in the development of financial systems

Requirements of the role

Education/Qualifications 

  • At least 5 years Project Management experience, with at least 3 years’ experience working in a software vendor environment
  • Relevant IT Professional Qualification or certification in Project Management will be highly regarded (e.g. Degree, PRINCE2, AIPM)

Experience and Skills

  • Proven ability to deliver large, complex projects on time & on budget
  • Business experience gained within the finance industry preferred – asset finance or motor finance
  • Proven ability to manage a project team
  • Experience of and involvement in the software development lifecycle/system implementation
  • Technical background preferred

Personal qualities

  • Strong management skills and practical management experience
  • Ability to take ownership and be responsible for actions
  • Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal)
  • Attention to detail, with ability to produce clear, concise documentation
  • Ability to work as part of a small team
  • Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative
  • Excellent time management skills, with ability to work to tight deadlines, whilst multi tasking
  • Strong client skills as this is a client facing role
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must

  • Well-developed analytical capabilities
  • Willingness to wear many hats as this role requires the individual to participate in all aspects of the projects including documentation and testing
  • Good working relationship with product teams
  • Willingness to travel and to spend short periods of time away from home on occasion

Description of the role

  • Prepare project plans and implementation schedules
  • Monitor project progress against plans, monitor risks and take action to keep projects on target
  • Liaise with client staff as the main representative of White Clarke Group
  • Work with Business Analysts and Developers and Architects to meet technical and business requirements
  • Contribute to overall operation of White Clarke Asia Pacific as a member of the management team
  • Contribute to the definition, maintenance and adherence to development guidelines/standards and processes
  • Assist where required with the preparation, execution and implementation of systems and business requirements
